Land & lot clearing
Get back the part of the property the woods took over.
- Keep-trees marked first
- Brush chipped
- Stumps ground if needed

A lot of Erie County properties back onto woods, and the woods keep creeping in: saplings along the fence, sumac and box elder taking over the back corner, a hedgerow that's grown into a forest. Clearing gets that space back.
We walk the site with you and flag the trees you want to keep. Everything else is cut, the brush is chipped, and stumps can be ground where you plan to mow, build or plant. Bigger trees on the lot are handled like any other removal.
How much do you want cleared?
Rough dimensions and a few photos go a long way.
Clearing services
Every clearing job is different. These are the common pieces.
Selective clearing
Unwanted trees and brush removed while the trees you like are left standing.
Fence line clearing
Saplings, vines and volunteer trees cut out of fence lines and property edges.
Building site prep
Trees removed from the footprint of a garage, addition, pole barn or driveway.
Brush and stump cleanup
Debris chipped and stumps ground so the area is ready for the next step.
Selective vs. full clearing
Selective
Thin out the junk trees and brush, keep the good ones. Usually best for a yard or a wooded edge.
Full clearing
Everything comes out within a defined area, typically for construction or a new lawn.
When clearing makes sense
Common projects:
- Building a garage, barn or additionThe footprint and a working area around it need to be clear.
- The back of the lot is unusableOvergrowth has taken over what used to be lawn.
- Fence lines are buriedTrees growing into a fence will eventually push it over.
- Improving sightlinesBrush blocking a driveway or a view.
- Preparing land for saleBuyers can see what they're getting.
Safety first. Before clearing near a stream, pond or wet area, check with your township. Wetland and stream buffer rules can limit what can be cut.
