What we do
Summit has a lot of newer homes with wooded backyards. Edge trees leaning toward the lawn, dead ash and stumps from earlier clearing are the usual work.
Most requested Whole trees taken down in sections when space is tight, or felled in one piece when the yard allows it.

Tree work in Summit Township
Many Summit subdivisions were built on former woodland, leaving homes with a line of mature trees at the back of the lot. Trees left at the edge of a clearing often weren't used to standing alone, and they can lean or fail.
Off the main roads, the township is still wooded and rural. Long driveways, wooded lots and dead ash trees along property lines are common.

Why Summit Township calls us
Summit Township is minutes away from our office via Peach Street or I-79. It's one of the areas we can reach quickly when a storm comes through.
How a job runs
Tell us the town, roughly how tall the tree is and what sits underneath it: house, garage, wires, fence. A couple of photos let us plan before anyone drives out.
Someone walks the site, checks the lean, the trunk and the drop zone, and explains how the tree would come down. You get a price before a saw starts.
The crew climbs or sets rigging, brings the wood down in controlled pieces, then rakes and blows the area. Wood and brush handling is agreed up front.
Summit Township trees
A lot of trees people want gone can stay. Thinning the crown lets wind pass through, cutting back the limbs over the roof removes the risk, and a cable can support a weak fork. If the tree is healthy and well placed, pruning is usually the cheaper answer.
Removal makes sense when the trunk is hollow or cracked, the roots have lifted, more than half the crown is dead, or the tree is an ash in decline. We'll tell you which side of that line your tree is on and why.

Edge trees in newer subdivisions suddenly face wind they never had to handle inside the woods. Thinning and deadwood removal help them adjust.

Trees that grew up inside a forest relied on their neighbors for shelter. When the land around them is cleared, they face full wind for the first time and some can't handle it.
