What we do
Erie County trees deal with lake wind on the shoreline and deeper snow inland. The services below cover both: storm work, removals near houses, pruning ahead of winter and cleanup afterward.
Most requested Whole trees taken down in sections when space is tight, or felled in one piece when the yard allows it.

Tree work in Erie County
The county splits into a few kinds of property. Along the lake you see older neighborhoods with big maples and oaks over the houses. Inland and to the south, lots get bigger and wooded, and a dead ash at the edge of the yard is a common call.
Wherever you are, the plan starts the same way: what's under the tree, which way it leans and how the pieces come down. A tight city lot gets climbed and rigged; an open rural lot may just need a careful fell.

Why Erie County calls us
Our office is on West 21st Street in Erie, with I-79 and I-90 close by. That gets a crew to most of the county without much backtracking, and the line stays open around the clock for storm nights.
How a job runs
Tell us the town, roughly how tall the tree is and what sits underneath it: house, garage, wires, fence. A couple of photos let us plan before anyone drives out.
Someone walks the site, checks the lean, the trunk and the drop zone, and explains how the tree would come down. You get a price before a saw starts.
The crew climbs or sets rigging, brings the wood down in controlled pieces, then rakes and blows the area. Wood and brush handling is agreed up front.
Erie County trees
A lot of trees people want gone can stay. Thinning the crown lets wind pass through, cutting back the limbs over the roof removes the risk, and a cable can support a weak fork. If the tree is healthy and well placed, pruning is usually the cheaper answer.
Removal makes sense when the trunk is hollow or cracked, the roots have lifted, more than half the crown is dead, or the tree is an ash in decline. We'll tell you which side of that line your tree is on and why.

Pruning · deadwood · clearance
Lake-effect snow bands can dump heavy, wet snow on one township while the next one stays nearly dry. Thinning crowns and removing deadwood before the season starts lowers the chance of a split leader in the middle of a snowstorm.
