What we do
Girard work is a mix of in-town removals around older homes and rural jobs: wooded lots, farm fence lines and creek banks along Elk Creek.
Most requested Whole trees taken down in sections when space is tight, or felled in one piece when the yard allows it.

Tree work in Girard
The borough's older homes often have large shade trees close to the house and the street. Those trees are getting to the age where limbs start dropping and removals or heavy pruning make sense.
Elk Creek cuts through the area on its way to the lake. Trees along the creek banks can be undermined by erosion and start leaning toward the water, or toward a house above it.

Why Girard calls us
Girard is a short trip west on I-90 or Route 5. We travel there regularly for removals and storm calls on the west side of the county.
How a job runs
Tell us the town, roughly how tall the tree is and what sits underneath it: house, garage, wires, fence. A couple of photos let us plan before anyone drives out.
Someone walks the site, checks the lean, the trunk and the drop zone, and explains how the tree would come down. You get a price before a saw starts.
The crew climbs or sets rigging, brings the wood down in controlled pieces, then rakes and blows the area. Wood and brush handling is agreed up front.
Girard trees
A lot of trees people want gone can stay. Thinning the crown lets wind pass through, cutting back the limbs over the roof removes the risk, and a cable can support a weak fork. If the tree is healthy and well placed, pruning is usually the cheaper answer.
Removal makes sense when the trunk is hollow or cracked, the roots have lifted, more than half the crown is dead, or the tree is an ash in decline. We'll tell you which side of that line your tree is on and why.

Pruning · deadwood · clearance
West county trees catch storms coming in off the lake from the west and northwest. Thinning and deadwood removal before winter helps them shed the wind instead of fighting it.
